Updated 24 March 2020
It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to let you know that Pennicott Wilderness Journeys will be suspending its operations from 24 March 2020 in response to the novel coronavirus (COVID -19) pandemic.
During my 21 years of operating Pennicott Wilderness Journeys, I have not experienced anything like what is unfolding across the world. This virus is having a horrible impact across all sectors but we are focussed on the health and safety of our staff, guests and community to ensure we will come out the other side ready to showcase the wonders of the beautiful places in which we operate.
While I do not know how long we will be closed, at this stage we will be taking forward bookings from 1 July 2020, presuming that current travel restrictions and health and safety controls have been lifted. We will also keep an eye on travel demand and retain flexibility around the date we take forward bookings from. Please communicate with us and let us know how we can support you. We will continue to keep everyone informed and look forward to reopening as soon as possible. We apologise to our visitors and trade partners and will refund in full any pre-paid experiences during our business suspension.
Booking and refund enquiries should be directed to our reservations team on firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone +61 3 6234 4270.
For information about how the situation is being monitored in Tasmania refer to the Tasmanian Government Department of Health website www.health.tas.gov.au/coronavirus.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support and to wish you and your team the best of luck as we all tackle this the best way we can.
Stay safe and well.
