TCCF Funds are helping to protect Tasman Island's wildlife
The Tasmanian Coast Conservation Fund was set up by Robert Pennicott in conjunction with WILDCARE Inc in 2007. The fund enables Pennicott Wilderness Journeys to donate money towards Tasmanian Parks & Wildlife's work in managing the national parks, marine reserves and marine wildlife along the spectacular coastlines of Tasmania.
To date the business has contributed $100,000 to this fund. Much of this money was used to fund a project to restore the delicate ecosystem of Tasman Island. This project included the eradication of a feral species that had decimated the native wildlife. Over 50,000 seabirds were being killed each year.
The natural environment is held in trust by all people on Earth - we believe it's our duty to pass it on unspoilt to future generations. In a small way, our Tasmanian Coast Conservation Fund can play its part. When you come and experience this amazing place with us, you're helping too.
