The Journey

We are excited to provide a unique opportunity to explore the stunning coastline of south east Tasmania including the Forestier Peninsula and Tasman Peninsula from Hobart.

Covering 232 kms, this full day expedition has rarely been done and offers a once in a lifetime adventure to travel the Southern Ocean and discover the full length of the Tasman Peninsula.

Explore stunning towering sea cliffs, white sandy beaches, waterfalls, blowholes, wind carved sea caves and take in what is claimed to be some of the best dolerite rock formations in the world.  Marvel at all three Capes - Cape Hauy, Cape Pillar and Cape Raoul.  Spot Tasman Island Lighthouse as we cruise around Tasman Island, the iconic turning point for the Sydney to Hobart yachts as they head towards Hobart.  Take in the beauty of Port Arthur Historic Site from the water and imagine how our convict ancestors felt as they arrived at this remote location after traversing the Southern Ocean.  Look out for surfers at Shipstern Bluff, renowned for its big waves.  Search for abundant coastal wildlife as we visit seal haulouts, watch for dolphins, seabirds and migrating whales.

Enjoy your lunch (BYO) in one of the many sheltered bays we will discover on this full day cruise.

Watch for key landmarks including: Betsey Island, Dunalley Canal, Fortescue Bay, Tasman Island, Cape Hauy, Cape Pillar, Cape Raoul, Port Arthur Historic Site, Shipstern Bluff and Iron Pot Lighthouse.
